Cyberspace HQ Announces Engine Monitor Service for search engines

For years, Cyberspace HQ has been the leading developer and publisher of search engine promotion software, with its top selling application, AddWeb Website Promoter; an application designed to help webmasters get their sites listed on many search engines, as well as help them attain better positioning.

While AddWeb presents an excellent opportunity for webmasters seeking visibility, the high volume of submission and queries that products like this create for the search engines themselves can overwhelm the resources of some engines.

Cyberspace HQ has addressed the resource issues over the years by adding code to the software to minimize resources on the search engine side, as well as to make it very difficult for AddWeb users to break search engine policies on submission. These practices have made AddWeb the most search engine friendly program of its kind available. Still, the volume does create a tremendous amount of traffic.

Today Cyberspace HQ announces the next step in its mission to make AddWeb the most welcome application for search engines. Cyberspace HQ’s Engine Monitor is a service that Cyberspace HQ will provide to participating search engines and directories.

Submissions made by AddWeb to participating engines will not be actually submitted directly to the engines. Instead, they will be submitted to an AddWeb Server on behalf of the engine. Search engines that employ the use of a spider will have the ability to send queries to the server, allowing them to get a list of submissions made since their last query, and links that are no longer active since their last query, etc. Instead of having to process thousands (or millions) of duplicate queries, they will be able to get all activity generated by AddWeb users in just one. The AddWeb server takes care of handling duplicates and finding dead links.

For search engines that do not employ the use of a spider, the AddWeb server will make posts to the engine at regular intervals with all new activity. Again, this will filter out all duplicates, and will minimize resources by performing a single post.

The Engine Monitor service will also offer the ability to run filters against sites submitted. Participating engines that would like the contents of a submitted page filtered for specific content can have only pre-qualified web pages submitted through the server.

While the Engine Monitor service will naturally be set up to accept AddWeb submissions, participating engines will have the option to process manual submissions through the service as well. They can further benefit by directing submissions made by other automated submission applications and services through Engine Monitor.

For smaller search engines, Engine Monitor provides an excellent way to build their index without worrying about becoming overwhelmed with traffic through a product such as AddWeb. For the larger engines, this service will almost completely wipe out all submission related resource issues associated with AddWeb, while providing a clean, filtered stream of new sites to index.
